About
Level Up Rentals isn't a franchise or a fleet company. It's a small, locally owned operation in Franklin County, and this is the person who runs it.
My name is Kevin Barnett. I live and work in Frankfort, Kentucky, and I own two businesses here — Level Up Rentals, and Level Up Technologies, an IT and web company serving Franklin and Scott County.
The rental side started small and grew on the back of one thing: people kept coming back. Ninety-one trips in, the rating is still 5.0 across 86 reviews, and Turo has us at All-Star Host — their designation for the highest-rated and most dependable hosts on the platform.
I have a low tolerance for the part of renting a car that everybody hates. The counter, the queue, the paperwork, the "a midsize or similar" you get handed at eleven at night when you booked something specific.
So none of that exists here. You pick the exact car. It's clean, it's maintained properly, and it's where you need it when you land. The cars get delivered to Blue Grass, Louisville and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airports, and to most addresses within about fifty miles of Frankfort.
That's not a marketing position, it's just how I'd want it done if I were the one flying in.
“Kevin is an exceptional host. Car was amazing. Perfectly maintained. He will be our go-to car guy whenever we are back in CVG.”
Christopher, July 2026The other half of what I do is Level Up Technologies — managed IT, computer repair, networking and websites for small businesses around Frankfort and Georgetown. A fair amount of what runs this rental business quietly in the background is software I built myself, which is a habit that came from that side of the work.
If you want the longer version, there's more at kevinbarnettky.com and on my founder page.
Availability and booking are handled entirely on Turo, where you can see every car, every open date and the exact cost for your trip in about thirty seconds.
